Lifelike Reborn baby dolls
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Please look over the website and read all the information available. Then, when you are ready to order, know the name and price of the doll you want. If it's a custom you want, please fill out the order form and send it along with your email (or as much as possible at that time).
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I would want to see what the rooting looks like (need up close pictures) and what the painting look like (up close pictures of the skin) and what is inside (the website should tell you).
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Most questions are answered by looking around the website. The close up pictures of the dolls will tell you if it's the level of quality and realism you want.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I strive to make each Little One as lifelike and realistic as possible. This means that I custom mix my own colors, I do many many layers (15-25 washes of colors and layers of tones for each baby), and I take care to root hair in the direction it should be growing as well as not rooting big plugs (except when requested) but just 1-3 hairs at a time.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. Some customers seem to think that these dolls are overpriced and don't appreciate how very low my prices are. Most customs of my quality are $700-3, 000 and most reborns of my quality are $300-1, 000+
I work hard to keep my prices as low as possible, so that everyone can afford these babies. That means that you are paying for the materials and then usually $.05-.50 cents per hour of work I put into the doll.
But I love doing it, it's my hobby and passion :)
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I lost a baby boy at 4 months along and the worse part of the grieving was the pain of empty arms. I remembered a boy doll that my mom's friend had when I was younger and thought that it might help some to have something to hold. I started looking for a doll, came across reborns, but could never afford one to look like my baby boy would have looked. So I decided to make my own. From my first doll, I was hooked :)
